Visitors were treated to the perfect opportunity to sip on some welcome drinks, savour the delectable canapés while admiring local artists’ work and enjoying the live music of singer Alfred Stadler. The retired Afrimat manager has been passionately making music for the past 20 years and boasts having played in a ’70s band. Now with more time on his hands, he enjoys living his passion.
Hospitality manager Belinda du Toit welcomed guests to the event and officially opened the exhibition with a poem, “Festival Of Colours”by Deepak Calyampoondi.
Somerset West locals Sanet and Vernon Aspinall (on the right) with daughter Linza Ferreira and son-in-law André Ferreira, who enjoyed catching up over good food, art and wine.
South Hill Vineyards’ celebrated winemaker Sean Skibbe, who has dedicated 18 years to the estate. Asked what his winning recipe for success is, spouse Leigh jokingly responded, “a happy wife”.
