A Cup for Cancer luncheon was hosted on Thursday 31 August at Krystal Beach Hotel in Gordon’s Bay, where 20 women cancer survivors were invited to treats and spoils. The Cup for Cancer team, made up of women in the community who are trying to make a difference by supporting cancer survivors and their families, stated they realise many survivors are not always in a good space emotionally, and this was a way to lift their spirits and show them they have support. The initiative, it is hoped, will be an annual event. Pictured are some of the women who attended the event. Photo: Yaseen Gaffar
