The Parel Vallei High School music department has been very busy over the past month taking part in the Stellenbosch Eisteddfod at the Endler Hall.
The results of the group activities are: PV Drumline (cum laude; 90%+), PV big band (gold+; 85% – 89%), PV choir (gold+; 85% – 89%), string orchestra (gold+; 85% – 89%), Blue-Thread show band, (gold+; 85% – 89%), mixed orchestra (gold+; 85% – 89%), vocal ensemble (gold; 80% – 84%).
Under the leadership of Johlane van Niekerk (head choir leader), Marietjie Steyn (choir) and Winand Grundling (accompaniment), the choir achieved gold+ and the vocal ensemble gold.
