Mural unveiled in run-up to Netball World Cup

Jubilation . . . A Netball World Cup mural was unveiled at the Gustrouw Sports Ground last Wednesday (28 September), marking 302 days before the tournament is hosted by the City of Cape Town. Patricia van der Ross (centre), Mayoral Committee member for Community Services and Health and JP Smith, Mayoral Committee member for Safety and Security, oversaw the unveiling. They urged locals to safeguard the facility and take full advantage of opportunities provided through sport. It was also mentioned that a big screen will be set-up at the facility during next year’s tournament to create a fan park so that communities can all enjoy the spectacle.Photo: Yaseen Gaffar
