The Helderberg has a beauty in the top 10 of the 2022 Miss South Africa competition!

Tamsyn Jack was named among the country’s top beauties set to vie for the crown on Saturday 13 August.

The Somerset West local is one of only two young women from the Western Cape in the finals of the coveted competition.

“When I finished my final interview with the judges I walked out hoping they had got my essence and understood who I was as a person,” the 25-year-old said. “Making it into the top 10 is confirmation that they did. I am over the moon and grateful to be on this journey.”

The entrepreneur, who holds a food science degree from Stellenbosch University, is excited about the upcoming campaign.

“I have always been a fan of Miss SA, but only when I got engaged last year did I realise I didn’t want to start this new phase of my life without entering into the pageant,” she related.

“I am at my happiest when I am serving others and this is an incredible leadership platform to do just that. I am looking forward to the finale and, although I don’t know exactly what to expect I just want to stay true to myself and be authentic.”
