In celebration of World Sleep Day, which places emphasis on the vital importance of a good night’s rest, a team comprising staff of Hirsch’s Somerset West and bed manufacturers Cloud Nine and Rest Assured recently visited Kingdom Kids, a crèche committed to supporting children in need in Sir Lowry’s Pass Village, to donate mattresses. Hirsch’s public relations officer Shane Spencer said the initiative – carried out in all the regions in which the lifestyle store operates – underscores the importance of quality sleep in promoting overall well-being, particularly for children. “Adequate sleep is essential for physical health, cognitive development and emotional well-being,” he said. Spencer expressed admiration for the tireless efforts of Kingdom Kids, emphasising the incredible impact these volunteer teachers have in their community. “The commitment and passion exhibited by these individuals is truly inspiring, and their dedication to uplifting the lives of children in need exemplifies the spirit of compassion and generosity. For those who wish to contribute to this worthy cause, Kingdom Kids can be contacted on 068 896 6517.
