Local clubs host nationals

The Helderberg and Somerset West bowling clubs had the privilege of hosting the Disabled Lawn Bowls Nationals from Sunday 17 to Saturday 23 March. Luckily for the contestants, who hailed from all over South Africa, they had the most perfect weather possible. After the finals were played on Saturday (23 March) the national Protea Team was announced. Leonie Taljaard, president of Somerset West Bowling Club, had the honour of handing national colours out to selected contestants (pictured).
