The South African Library Week (SALW) is in full swing until Sunday 20 March. This week was officially launched at the Lwandle (Hector Petersen) Public Library on Wednesday (16 March). The theme of this week is to re-imagine, repurpose and rediscover libraries. SALW also wants to use this week to promote the important role libraries play in making information easy to access. Pupils from Lwandle and Nomzamo were invited to the day, but each of the seven libraries in the Helderberg area will have its own SALW. The launch at Lwandle included talks from authors and there will be a special African fiction book section.
