The Drama Factory lost a section of its roof in last weekend’s devastating storm. The theatre venue will remain closed for a few weeks until the necessary repairs are done.

The wind she blows, of that we have proof,

She did some damage and took our roof!

We are blessed to all be absolutely alright,

Even though she had us up all day and all night.

We need to baton down the hatches and mop up the floor,

And in no time at all we will reopen the door.

Thank you for all the support and all the love,

Our patrons are those who are sent from above!

We keep up our spirits and thank the heavens it is not worse,

This is not the time to gnash teeth or even to curse.

Our timeline is not yet a sure thing on which to place a bet

We will let you know just as soon as we can how far we get.

In the words of Arnie, “we will be back!”

As soon as our roof chap is back on track.

We will patiently wait as others are worse off indeed,

Us theatre folk are a hardy breed.

We will see you soon with more fabulous stuff,

We know that you need your fix and can’t get enough!

Stay safe.
