The City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management Centre (DRMC) recently conducted climate change awareness programmes for learners, including those from Sir Lowry’s Pass Primary School. These programmes aimed to educate students about the impact of climate change, covering topics such as deforestation, pollution, and the effects of climate change like flooding and droughts. Learners engaged in environmental games and discussions to understand how climate change will shape their future and the importance of developing green skills to combat it.
