The Sportsmans Warehouse Trail Run Series continues with the Mid Year Trail Run at Muratie Wine Estate in Stellenbosch on Sunday (30 June).
This is the ninth time the annual event is being hosted at the wine estate, with registration opening at 08:00 followed by the start of the races at 08:45 and 09:00.
Runners who pre-enter by Friday morning (28 June) will save on fees and qualify for a special event medal and a PVM energy bar or gel.
Trail maintenance by the Dirtopia trail management team will make sure the 11 km and 6 km routes are ready with lots of beautiful green single-track sections on the farm’s extensive trail network. Some new sections of trail were recently added to the maze of trails on the mountain above the cellar.
There will be refreshment stations on route and at the finish line, where runners can also collect a finisher’s medal.
Prizes for the winners and lucky draws include Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers, Falke socks and Muratie wines. Live timing is optional when buying or renting a Trail Tag.
