Karateka kick up a notch!

Members of Junbukan Karate Dojo in Strand were proud to have participated at the recent Motobuha Shitoryu 50th anniversary karate tournament, held in Cape Town on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September. Under the leadership of Sensei Stefan Koekemoer, a third dan black belt, four students attended the tournament, winning two gold and four silver medals in total, across the categories of Kumite and Kata. Pictured from left is Sensei Koekemoer with the Steyn family, Zoë, Edrin and Elize. Anyone interested in joining the club can phone Sensei Koekemoer on 079 849 5291.
