Don’t count your steps! Make your steps count at the Trails4Tails #Walk4Wildlife on Saturday 21 September. This is so much more than just another hike – it’s an opportunity to step out in support of the Cape of Good Hope SPCA’s Short-Term Wildlife Department, which works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and release wild animals back into their natural habitats.
If you’re an experienced hiker, you’ll be joined by the SPCA’s very own Wildlife Supervisor, Jon Friedman, on the exclusive West Peak Hike. With his extensive conservation knowledge and deep passion for wildlife, he will share fascinating insights into the animals the organisation will be helping and the importance of preserving the places they call home. Hiking with Friedman offers a unique, educational experience to learn how each step participants take impacts the environment and how everyone can play a part in protecting it.
If you’re new to hiking there’s still a trail for you and you’ll still be in for a treat with a guided walk in nature with the renowned Binny Ridgway of Ridgway Ramblers on the Watsonia trail.
Whichever trail you choose you’ll get a commemorative SPCA/Sponsor-branded sports T-shirt, SPCA-branded sports socks, a peak cap or sun visor and an exciting goody bag just for signing up and there’s an awesome prize up for grabs if you’re up for the challenge.
Why hike alone when you can hike for a cause? Here’s your chance to do what you love while making a difference. Don’t just walk – walk with purpose! You’ll be helping the SPCA rescue, rehabilitate and release wild animals, and who knows, maybe you’ll even spot some of them out on the trails.
Spaces are limited to only 20 hikers per trail so don’t wait.
Sign up now and take a hike that matters.
