The Radio Kalahari Orkes will take to the stage at the Springbok Blues Supper Theatre Venue in Gants Centre, Strand this month.
Radio Kalahari Orkes will keep audiences moving on Saturday 17 December. Doors open at 19:00, with the show starting at 20:30.
Featuring the talent of well-known actor Ian Roberts, Radio Kalahari Orkes will be performing a folk-rock pastiche of traditional Afrikaans with authentic acoustic instruments such as the violin, accordion, banjo, penny whistle, harmonica, pedal steel guitar, kazoo, washboard and dobro, to mention a few.
Their debut album, Stoomradio, went gold and was followed by a SAMA-nominated second album, Nagloper.
Tickets are R160 per person.
Later this month, The Latin Kings, featuring Ernesto Latino and David Benzaquen, will perform on Wednesday 21 December at 19:00.
