The popular Zip Zap Circus is taking one of its most loved shows, The Caretaker, the virtual route with a screening this Saturday (6 June) at 16:00.

A family-friendly production first performed in 2009, The Caretaker is choreographed and directed by the legendary Adele Blank from the Free Flight Dance Company.

It combines theatre, dance and circus, and is set in a quaint apartment block inhabited by a kaleidoscope of people. The show tells their stories and the events that transpire in the courtyard, including a fire in the building.

Viewers can expect hilarious antics of acrobatic wizardry interlaced with spellbinding aerial artistry performed by the extraordinarily talented Zip Zap children. Acts include swinging trapeze, double straps, acrobatics, tumbling, juggling and much more.

The screening is Zip Zap’s first virtual screening in a three-show series, with the next shows screened in July and August.

All shows are recordings of productions from previous years.

Tickets cost R50 and can be booked through Quicket.

Once you purchase your ticket you will be sent a personalised link to the show, which cannot be shared as it is unique to your username and password for your Quicket account.

The link will be available at 15:55, and the screening will be from 16:00 to 22:00.
