Easter is a magical time for little ones, and this Easter Sunday (31 March) young children and their parents can build wonderful memories at Vergelegen wine estate in Somerset West. Parents and children meet at Stables family restaurant at 08:45, when children will receive bunny ears and Easter egg carriers. Foraging for yummy treats starts promptly at 09:00. The Octagonal Garden, established over 300 years ago, is home to ancient trees, finely wrought statuary and colourful shrubs and annuals, offering plenty of hiding places for Easter eggs. Only 60 tickets are available and online pre-booking is essential. The cost is R295 per child, which includes bunny ears, carriers and Easter eggs, plus an informal wine tasting for adults after the children’s event, from 10:00. To book, visit https://vergelegen.co.za/events/. Please note, Vergelegen is open to the public daily between 08:30 and 17:00 (last entry 16:00) – except Easter Friday (29 March). Entry is R20 per person, or R10 for pensioners and scholars. Pensioners enjoy free entry on Mondays. Find out more on www.vergelegen.co.za.
