Balwin Foundation NPC has initiated its first food drive in partnership with Somerset Mall, Masikhule and the Helderberg Stroke Support Group.

The project collects non-perishable food items, which will be distributed to local early-childhood development centres and stroke survivors’ groups in the basin.

“Your contributions can make a significant impact on our community,” stated the foundation, calling on locals for their valued support.

Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the mall’s customer service desk until next Wednesday (17 July). Suggested food items for ECD centres include maize meal, peanut butter, oats, long-life milk, sardines, baked beans, tinned tomatoes, pasta, samp, dry beans and lentils.
