The Strong Schools Community Collaborative, a non-profit organisation that supports schools in becoming institutions of hope facilitating healthy, wholesome futures for youth and society, will host its first virtual workshop for 2024.

The presenter is Diane Vermooten, a documentary filmmaker who has also trained students from more than 90 countries in the skills of media, production, film and documentary making.

For nearly 30 years the founder and director of Media Village Productions and Training has made film documentaries in 30 countries. She is passionate about storytelling, using this medium to make a difference and bring about social transformation.

The workshop is scheduled to take place from 12:00 to 14:00 on Thursday 4 April.

The topic of her workshop is “How to capture stories of hope for donors”, enhancing the impact of one’s organisation’s aims and objectives, showing funders and donors how their donations are changing lives in innovative ways that serve to inspire giving and partnering.

The cost is R250 per person.
