Kelly Holmes and Joshua Burger are the newly crowned Mr and Miss Parel Vallei on Friday 3 May.
The duo will not only be the ambassadors and the informal faces of PV at numerous school events throughout the year, but they will also support the community by carrying out the “blue thread” culture.
The “blue thread” connects all aspects of the school, from academics, sport and leadership to culture, social and the various and diverse clubs of the school.
The runners-up were Anke Tough and Dirk Beukes.
The theme of this year’s Mr and Miss PV was “All Around the World” and the 20 contestants opened the glamorous evening with a group dance, supported by the Parel Vallei dance group. Interview clips were played and the audience had a glimpse of the contestants before the show formally started.
The categories included stylish day wear and costumes of their choice that supported the specific country they selected.
The judges were: Dr Ilse Joubert, Melody de Wet and Jeanetta Verdoes.
The school is thankful for all the sponsors who made the glamourous evening a success.
The contestants would also like to thank Alana Pretorius, Mardie Steenkamp, Dean Joa and the rest of the prefects for a well-planned and successful evening!
