Fans of Vergelegen Wine Estate in Somerset West have only two weeks left to submit entries for the inaugural photographic competition and stand a chance to win great prizes and showcase their work to a wider audience.
The final date for entries is Wednesday 15 February. Prizes include two Canon PowerShot Zoom cameras worth R4 495 each, sponsored by Orms Photographic Store, and participation in an exhibition in the estate’s gardens in March.
Said Wayne Coetzer, Vergelegen’s managing director: “We have already received more than 200 entries from both amateur and professional photographers. It’s wonderful to see how photographers are interpreting the brief of ‘the essence of Vergelegen’. Viewing the entries one enjoys the treasures of this fabulous 323-year old estate afresh and recaptures a sense of wonder at its beauty and history.”
