Gordon’s Bay police have opened an inquest docket following the mysterious death of a 70-year-old woman who fell from the roof of a guest house in Gordon’s Bay in the early hours of Wednesday 13 December.
A Gordon’s Bay police spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying the woman, a German national, fell to her death at 00:30.
“It appears the deceased and a female friend had gone out for dinner, and when they returned to their accommodation the deceased went out for a smoke on the third-storey balcony, from which she fell,” the spokesperson said.
“The identity of the deceased cannot be released yet as her next-of-kin had yet to be informed.”
