A 32-year-old man from Macassar was arrested and drugs confiscated in a raid by authorities on Friday (1 July). The success came after Macassar police officers, in cooperation with Faure anti-gang unit members and law-enforcement officials, conducted a drug search at an address in Malgas Street, Macassar, around noon and discovered an undisclosed amount of Mandrax, tik and money at the residence. The suspect was expected to appear in the Somerset West Magistrates’ Court on Monday (4 July).
