Learners of Somerset House have shown their caring side through their involvement with various charities over the last couple of weeks. Ariane de Villiers (centre) handed over the proceeds of the E-Day hosted by the school’s Grade 7 learners to the Patch Helderberg Centre for Abused Children. Patch representatives Amanda-Lea Jones and John Barnard received goods generously donated by Somerset House families together with the R7 200 raised. What’s more, the junior preparatory learnt all about generosity this term in preparation for the school’s annual Tereo Christmas Party. It helped create wrapping paper, decorated pencils and made mood bracelets for the Christmas boxes, aside from performed “chores for change”, to raise money for the gifts.Foto:
