Sencit Resthaven Home for the Aged in Strand, under the banner "Older Lives Matter," received a generous donation of much-needed mobility aids at the end of February, reinforcing the community's commitment to caring for its elderly residents. The donation was made by Leslie Lane from Omkhulu Office Solutions, also a member of the Gordon's Bay Business Association (GBBA) who handed over essential equipment to support residents' daily mobility and comfort. The items donated include three walkers, an aluminium wheeled walker, aluminium stand, a raised toilet seat, crutches and walking sticks. These practical items will greatly assist residents who require additional support with movement and independence. Sencit Resthaven provides care and services to some of the most vulnerable members of society โ€“ the frail, aged, physically disabled and destitute individuals over the age of 60. The organisation continues to rely on community partnerships and donations. At the handover (from left) are Leslie Lane with Sister Suraya Gafieldien.
