Social workers at the ACVV Strand office need the community’s assistance in locating biological parents who have disappeared and left their children in foster care.

They are trying to track down the biological mother of seven-year-old Anele Batyi. Nandipha Batyi (37) is a mother of five who was apparently last seen around Asanda Village in May 2016, when Anele was placed in foster care.

The social workers are also looking for the biological parents of eight-year-old Lolwethu Mzekwa. It is believed the 52-year-old father Mbongeni Mhlanga is from KwaZulu-Natal and was last seen in Nomzamo, while the mother Nwabisa Mzekwa (37) is originally from Northern Cape and was last seen in Asanda Village.

The parents were last seen in April 2016, when the boy was placed in foster care.

Assistance is also needed in locating the biological mother of Brandon Fyver. Jennifer Phatheka Fyver (30) is from Nomzamo, but she is believed to be around the Parow and Goodwood areas.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of these biological parents is asked to contact ACVV Strand social worker Lucy Retyu on 021 854 7215 or strandnom1@acvv.org.za. Alternatively visit the organisation’s office at 15 De Villiers Street in Strand.

The Badisa Strand office is urgently searching for Pauline Jonas, a resident of Strand, regarding her three children.

It is believed she had previously lived in Bredasdorp before recently relocating to Strand again. She is asked to visit the Badisa Strand office in Liberty Street, Rusthof.
