This group of men bravely stepped up to the plate to create awareness of testicular and prostate cancer by taking on the 5 km annual Hollard Daredevil Run in Strand on Friday 30 September. They are (from left) Brandon Venter, JP Botha, Stiaan Botha, Rudi Bezuidenhout, Max Ruppert, Johan Jacobs and Jan Myburgh. The six daredevils, kitted in their skimpy and distinct purple swimming pants, took to the streets for the worthy cause after fellow runner and friend Stiaan Botha survived testicular cancer eight years ago. “We want to say well done to the guys for being brave and creating awareness of men’s cancers,” said Botha’s wife, Mavis. “Hopefully, there will be many more men running with them next year.”
