The Grade 12 class of Curro Sitari got out from behind the desk, strapped on their gardening gloves and got digging to plant trees in celebration of Arbor Day on Thursday 2 September. The matriculants, who are currently busy with their preliminary examinations, spent the morning planting Portulacaria Afra, more commonly known as the spekboom. This plant improves the quality of the air we breathe and helps fight climate change.
