Halfway Bricks, in association with HI-TEC SA, will be collaborating with Helderberg Beach Clean-up and Strand Neighbourhood Watch on for the cleaning up of Strand Beach this Saturday (20 July).
“We are inviting schools to participate in this event. As an incentive we will be donating a pair of HI-TEC school tekkies to each participating school which they may distribute at their discretion,” says Karen Strydom, marketer at Halfway Bricks.
There will also be a prize for the learner who picks up the most rubbish on the day.
Bags and gloves will be provided.
The event is will run from 09:00 to 11:00, whereafter prizes will be handed out.
“We have sponsored two HI-TEC jackets as well as a shop voucher to be raffled on the day,” Strydom adds.
“All proceeds will go to Strand Lifesaving Club. We are extremely excited about this initiative as the community has already come together, far exceeding our expectations.”
