Checkers Food makes waves along Beach Road

Strand is home to the first Checkers Foods to open its doors in the Helderberg basin. Conveniently located at The Junction (previously Koopsentrum) in Beach Road, the store has created 22 new job opportunities. Inspired by customer demand, the smaller-format store offers the convenience, quality and value for which the supermarket chain is renowned. Checkers Foods Beach Road offers exclusive premium brands such as Forage & Feast and Simple Truth, a meat market with restaurant-quality steak, fresh sushi, hot deli, a bakery with freshly baked artisan breads, fresh fruit and vegetables, coffer bar with a soft-serve ice cream option and a Money Market counter. The 637 m² store, which provides employment to 71 people, including 22 newly created jobs, is managed by Cisco Beukes. Trading hours are 08:00 to 20:00 from Mondays to Sundays. In total there are now 14 Checkers Foods in South Africa, of which four are in the Western Cape.

Committed to the communities in which it operates, employees from Checkers Foods participated in a clean-up event at Strand beach.
