Car overturns after driver’s ‘avoidance’

A car overturned and came to a standstill on the middle island along Gordon’s Bay Road (Faure Marine Drive), near the entrance to the Hendon Park Resort, when the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle. The accident occurred around 10:00 on Saturday (11 February) and the driver sustained minor injuries. A partial road closure was temporarily put in place as law enforcement agencies went about salvaging and removing the vehicle from the scene. Maxine Bezuidenhout, spokesperson for City Traffic Services, confirmed traffic officers were on the scene. “The vehicle rolled with the driver in it.
