Applications for scholarships and bursaries on offer by the South African National Road Agency Limited (Sanral) are now open.

The scope of financial support has been expanded beyond civil engineering to accommodate other related disciplines within the built environment. The Sanral Scholarship Programme was founded to promote the importance of maths and science at school, while the agency also recognises the value of supporting high school learners to complete matric, irrespective of their chosen areas of further development.

Scholarships cover school fees, books and prescribed stationery, winter and summer uniforms, hostel accommodation where applicable, and extra maths and science classes.

Bursaries cover tuition and registration, books and equipment, compulsory excursions and seminars, accommodation and meals, and officers a living allowance.
