The Somerset West Department of Social Development calls for the public’s assistance in locating the biological mother of two young children.
The department needs help tracking down Joslin Korabie pertaining matters to her daughters, two months and seven years old respectively.
Details regarding the biological father are unknown. The last-known address for Korabie is 37 Wilhelmina Schaefer Street, Gustrouw, Strand.
She was last seen on Sunday 9 April, when she gave birth to her baby girl at Helderberg Hospital in Somerset West. Her eldest daughter is currently residing with family members at the mother’s last-known address. The birth of the last-born baby needs to be registered and a foster-care placement needs to be finalised, and therefore the biological mother needs to be traced. The foster-care placement will continue if no information is received regarding the concerned child’s parent or other relatives.
Anyone with any information regarding the biological mother of the concern children is urged to contact social worker Trusaané Eksteen on 021 840 3500 during office hours (07:30-16:00).
