Are you wondering about what you will do after school? No ideas yet? Well, these two upcoming career expo’s might give you the insight and advice that you need.
- On Saturday (17 June) the Bay Christian Family Church will be hosting a Career Expo at the Lwandle Community Hall. Song Hazel, one of the organisers, confirms that the expo is catered towards the Grade 11 and 12 pupils from Lwandle and Nomzamo, but any pupil who is in either grade 11 or 12 is welcome to attend.
“There are a lot of pupils that don’t know what they want to do after school. We are there to fill that void and to give them information that they can use,” says Hazel.
He mentions that experts across various industries like marketing and economics will be there to assist pupils and to answer their questions about their future careers.
“We will inform the pupils what type of qualifications they require for the job that they want to pursue.”

- Gordon’s Bay Library is hosting their career expo on 30 June from 10:00 till 13:00 at the New Apostolic Church in Luna Way in Temperance Town. The expo offers pupils the chance to expand their future opportunities. Boston College, Boland College, Oasis Training Centre, Department of Public Works, the National Sea Rescue Institute, Social Development and Early Childhood Development, University of Cape Town and the Naval College will all be hosting presentations.
