Broadlands Manor and Die Kunshuis in Strand have collaborated for their first-ever seasonal exhibition, Autumn, which opens on Saturday 6 May at Broadlands Manor in Mondeor Road, Helderberg Rural.
This group exhibition features artists from the Helderberg region who have drawn inspiration from Autumn, the month of turning leaves, cooling temperatures and darkening nights. It will be on until the start of the Winter exhibition, the date of which will soon be announced.
Merissa Slingerland of Die Kunshuis, who studied Fine Arts from 1991 to 1995, has taught art classes for the past 20 years.
Her creative hub, Die Kunshuis in Strand, organises art routes every month and visits towns and villages in the Western Cape.
Die Kunshuis offers creative workshops and birthday parties for all ages. Slingerland also executes commissioned paintings for clients.
The public is invited to join in celebrating Autumn and creativity at the opening on 6 May from 16:00 to 19:00.
