Generation School will transform into a winter wonderland, offering a delightful blend of shopping, entertainment, and community spirit.
“This enchanting market aims to bring back the beloved tradition of the ‘Strawberry Market’ and promote Somerset West as a vibrant tourist destination. A diverse range of local artisans, crafters, and retailers will showcase their unique products, offering a unique shopping experience,” said Moira Meershoek, organiser of the event.
Together with sponsors Pam Golding Properties Helderberg, Stellar Lighting, Yes! Exclusive Flowers, Brands On and Happy Sak, they promise a festive extravaganza.
Some features of the market will include a Festive Food Court where you can indulge in a culinary journey with a variety of delectable treats from local food trucks and stalls.
A Magical Kids’ Zone will keep the little ones entertained with interactive games and workshops, and a heartwarming opening ceremony will take place on 6 December for the official opening and tree lighting ceremony, featuring special addresses from local dignitaries and performances by talented schoolchildren.
The community’s support is urged as a share of proceeds will go towards the The Barking Ark charity.
