As a non-profit organisation (NPO) with decades of experience, the HSFA understands that each stage of retirement demands unique care and attention. For this the HSFA has a range of Independent Living units in Somerset West, some in apartment blocks and others are garden cottages. The next stage is Assisted Living for the older person who can still live independently, but who doesn’t want the responsibility of household chores. Thereafter the HSFA also has Frail Care units with 24-hour nursing with a specialised dementia unit and a multidisciplinary team to support.

A helper and other caring and committed staff are always available in a tranquil, homely setting and safe environment. It’s retirement with a bit of help. The HSFA provides two Assisted Living units, Silver Oaks and Robari Lodge, each ideal options for seniors who cherish their independence but wish to shed the burden of household chores. A caring and dedicated team is always at hand, creating a tranquil and homely environment, providing just the right amount of help for a comfortable retirement.
The HSFA’s commitment to ensuring residents’ well-being is evident in the range of amenities provided. Most rooms boast en-suite facilities and residents enjoy three balanced meals per day, along with regular tea and coffee service as well as a kiosk. Weekly housekeeping, laundry and call-to care services alleviate any daily worries, while activities, outings, and special events foster an engaging social life. Residents enjoy large communal gardens and sun lounges as well as a hair salon, nail bar and a kiosk on site. Robari Lodge residents relish the stunning mountain views from a lovely patio. Affordability is a key consideration, with units available at various price points starting from R6 750 per month at Silver Oaks Lodge and from R9 235 per month at Robari Lodge.
