ACE Models Helderberg clinches top national award

ACE Models Helderberg was named Franchise of the Year at the annual ACE Models National Conference, held at Emerald Resort and Casino in Vanderbijlpark, for the second consecutive year.

The achievement marks another milestone for the Somerset West charm school-cum-agency, which opened under the leadership of Yvette Muller in July 2024.

A total of 17 models of the local branch attended this year’s conference, with 15 participating for the first time. The team also had several category wins and top-five placements.

Established by Joani Jacobs in 2015, ACE Models International has grown into a network of 30 franchises across South Africa, Namibia and Australia. It combines modelling training with personal development, building skills on and off the runway.

Muller brings experience as a model and international pageant coach as well as an accomplished equestrian. She placed in the Top 10 at Mrs South Africa 2025 and was crowned Mrs South Africa Globe Classique 2026. She went on to represent SA at the international Mrs Globe Classique pageant in Palm Springs, California, where she achieved a top 10 placement.

In January Gizela Moller joined ACE Models Helderberg as a business partner. She brings experience from a Top 10 Mrs Universe 2025 and Woman of the Universe Top Africa 2026. Together, Muller and Moller lead formation centred on confidence, discipline and personal growth.

Their models celebrate achievements beyond the conference. One model was recently crowned a national titleholder at Royal International Miss South Africa and will represent South Africa in Orlando, Florida next year, another walked at Paris Fashion Week, while three other models have had an opportunity to walk at SA Kids’ Fashion Week 2026.

The agency’s focus extends beyond preparing students for the stage or camera; it aims to help young people find their voice, recognise their strengths and carry themselves with confidence in everyday life.

The second consecutive franchise award reflects the dedication of the local models, the support of their families and the shared commitment of the branch’s directors to creating a welcoming environment in which students can grow.
