An event of this magnitude is not possible without partners, sponsors and key stakeholders contributing towards the successful implementation, says Le Roux Conradie, Managing Director of Forward Foundation. “We are immensely proud to present the News24 Forward Faster Invitational Sevens in collaboration with the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport.”
Madelein Venter, Customer Success Manager at Media24, emphasised the significance of this collaboration. “We are thrilled to be the title sponsor of the News24 Forward Faster Invitational Sevens. We are excited to witness the unfolding of this inaugural event.”
Chief Executive Officer at SAS, Neil de Kock, shared his excitement at the budding relationship between SAS and the Forward Foundation. Former Springbok scrum-half De Kock, who played 250 matches for London-based Saracens after representing the Western Province in 101 first-class matches, believes that through tournaments of this nature, talent can be unearthed and nurtured.
“Stellenbosch Academy of Sport prides itself as an institution that seeks to improve athletes in a high-performance environment,” said De Kock. “The News24 Forward Faster Invitational Sevens competition creates an ideal opportunity for SAS to come on board and partner with sporting excellence.”
This event is a celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and dedication. Collaboration is key to the success or failure of tournaments of this magnitude.
Conradie affirms the importance of partnerships by saying: “The News24 Forward Faster Invitational Sevens is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors and partners. For this, we appreciate our partners in helping us to bring this competition to Stellenbosch.
“Our mission at the Forward Foundation is Moving Forward, Faster by creating opportunities for aspiring athletes to showcase their skills and pursue their dreams. We believe that sports can empower individuals and uplift communities, and this tournament exemplifies that spirit.”
