The Macassar Muslim Council elected a new committee on Sunday 3 March to administer the affairs of the community. In recent times the organisation had lost both its chairman, the late Hadjie Yusuf Abrahams, and secretary, the late Sharief Africa. Here are Abdul Malik Dreyer, additional committee member, Nazier Varachia, assistant treasurer, Hadjie Ismail Price, chairman, Ashfak Abrahams, vice-chairman, Ebrahim Rhoda, electoral officer, Nezaam Sonday, treasurer, Ezza Lakay, additional committee member, Yusrie Apollis, secretary, Nuraan Slamdien, additional committee member, and Imam Shaheed Alexander. Absent: Adiel Rhoda (assistant secretary).
