There is a palpable excitement in the air down at the local Suzuki dealership. Sales are good, new products are frequently being rolled out and existing models are being updated regularly.
The dealership recently got its first batch of the new Dzire, which is more than just an updated model. Starting from R224 900, the Dzire is a very affordable small sedan suitable for young families and reps.
The addition of a boot adds a secure space to keep one’s belongings snugly hidden from prying eyes. Anthony Luyt believes the boot is the difference which makes the Dzire worth getting, as it offers a third more space than a Swift.
Nazeem Aziz says the Dzire is the safest car in its segment, with six air bags and all the essential safety equipment like ABS with EBD and stability control.
The technology offering is of a high specification with wireless connectivity, cruise control and an overdrive button to improve cruising fuel consumption, something which the competition does not have, adds Kolene Torlage.
In a nutshell the Dzire is the size of a Swift, but with a bigger boot and yet it has similar fuel consumption and performance.
