Parel Vallei High School’s athletes tested their mettle on the track to spirit to earn points for their individual sports houses: Stella, Aberdeen and Nassau last week. Nine records were set on the day, while staff and old PV learners also participated in a race or two. Nassau were the overall winners of the athletics trophy with 2 325 points, followed by Stella in second place with 2 214 points and Aberdeen in third with 2 183 points. Aberdeen narrowly claimed the coveted spirit cup with Nassau in second place. The day’s top athletes were Marietjie Cilliers (junior victrix ludorum), Jayden Daniels (junior victor ludorum), Kyle Slater (senior victor ludorum) and Anne-Marié Schoeman (senior victrix ludorum).
