During the school holiday, 22 sportspeople from Reddam House Somerset enjoyed a successful tour to Makhanda. This is the first sports tour Reddam has undertaken as a new school. The girls played hockey against DSG and Kingswood College, winning both games. The boys played soccer against St Andrew’s College and Makanda Academy FC. These were closely contested matches, which Reddam unfortunately lost by narrow margins. The boys travelled to the Bedford farming district where they played against a district team at the privately owned Mill Cricket Ground on Spring Grove farm. They drew that soccer match. When not playing hockey or soccer, the learners visited the Village Green Fair at the National Arts Festival and enjoyed Friesland milkshakes and sampled the famous pies at the Nanaga Farm Stall.Foto:
