A larger number of learners of the Natural Learning Academy in Strand participated in the Helderberg Eisteddfod this year. Last year only one learner of the school was part of the annual event.
They achieved the following results:. Grade 7 – Lea Oosthuizen received a bronze certificate in the digital drawing category;. Grade 8 – Hannah Leach received a silver certificate in the drawing category and Conlin Jacobs sang “Shallow” by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga and received Cum Laude in the solo singing category;. Grade 10 – Jordan Ching-Sent received gold-plus for her artwork in the drawing category and Luca Conradie received gold for his performance in the guitar category (own choice);. Grade 11 – Janche Diedericks performed “I am not for this world” and received a gold certificate in the Monologue category; Milla van Niekerk was awarded silver for her performance of “Oh Hanna” in the solo singing category, Kira Stuttaford received gold for one performance and gold-plus for another in the solo singing category as well as gold-plus in the Poetry division, and Kai-Lui Griebenauw received silver-plus for his work in the art category.
