Somerset College obtained great results during the 2019 Cambridge International A-level examinations, as well as outstanding AS- and A-level subject results.

A total of 47% of the A-level students scored a B-symbol or higher across all subjects. An A* symbol (above 90%) was achieved in 10% of all subject entries. In particular, 40% of College’s computer science students achieved over 90% and more than one in three students achieved an A-symbol in mathematics, physics, history and English literature.

Special mention must be made of Liam Cunningham (2A* and 2A) and Jacob Enthoven (1A* and 3A), while excellent results were also gleaned by Robyn Austin (1A, 2B and 1C), Nick Geras (2A and 1B), Stephanie Juncker (1A and 2C), Ukhanyo Mdakane (2A and 2B), Alexander Murgatroyd (3B), Annalie Swanepoel (2A*, 1A and 1B), Lara Swanepoel (1A*, 2A and 1B) and Jana van Niekerk (2A* and 1A) – all A-level students.
