Young Bafana Soccer Academy has extended its soccer training offering to two locations in the Helderberg.
The decision was brought on by a need for a developmental and skilled soccer programme in the specified areas.
The YB Stars technical soccer skills programme was developed by u-12 high performance and UEFA B-licenced coach Jonny Chamaille.
It aims to develop proficient technical skills from foundation level, as well as build, reinforce and maintain skills to develop youths in soccer and other areas in their lives.
The programme offers ball mastery, one-on-one skills, passing and receiving and life skills to ensure overall match performance. Sometimes this means going back to basics, so eams can move forward with enhanced skills and training.
Training times and days have been extended to facilitate children in Somerset West and Strand. Sessions are held at Radloff Park on Tuesday and Fridays from 15:30 to 16:30 for u-6 to u-9 players, and 16:45 to 18:00 for u-10 to u-14 players.
Training at the Young Bafana Arena in Strand is held Monday and Wednesday from 15:30 to 16:30 for u-6 to u-9, and Tuesday and Thursday from 16:45 to 18:00 for u-10 to u-14.
