The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate has advised the community of planned roadworks along Gordon’s Bay Road.
The necessary work forms part of regular maintenance to prolong the longevity of the road network.
Work is planned to take place from today (Thursday 21 April) until Monday 20 June between 09:00 and 15:30.
In case of bad weather, work will continue at the first opportunity and afterwards without any further notice.
Residents are advised to take note that the dates could be changed due to unforeseen circumstances and that traffic will be affected in both directions.
Flag personnel will direct traffic through temporary detours around the work area and dusty conditions are expected.
Road users are also urged to lower their speed along the road, be vigilant around the work areas and be mindful of the construction workers.
