More than 180 people converged onto Strand beach on Saturday (17 September) for International Coastal Clean-up Day. Several organisations, activists, the environmentally conscious and families helped pick up 698 kg of litter at the Helderberg Marine Protected Area (MPA). They also participated in fun games and educational talks, and were even given free treats and prizes.
