Silo Concerts will again entertain visitors to the Waterfront neighbourhood with free concerts by local musicians this summer. The series runs on the first Friday of every month from November to April 2023.
Established in 2018, the concerts quickly gained in popularity and soon became an annual series of memorable events, before the onset of the pandemic brought an end to public events. It previously featured orchestras, jazz and kwela bands, singer Amanda Black and The Soil to name a few.
Visitors can again look forward to an exciting and varied concert line-up as part of the 2022-’23 series, which kicks off with a performance by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra this Friday (4 November). The concert venue is in front of the restaurants against the Zeitz MOCAA building opposite Si.
The line-up for the summer concert series includes trumpeter and vocalist Mandisi Dyantyis (2 December); This Thing Called Swing featuring Swing All Stars Big Band (6 January 2023); Puesta Del Sol featuring Corazon 10-piece Salsa Band and Salsa DJs (3 February 2023); saxophonists Andrew Young and Don Vino (3 March); and Judith Sephuma (7 April 2023).
