Macassar Junior Rugby Club held its awards evening at the New Civic Centre in Macassar on Saturday 29 October, recognising the growth of the club’s top players, most promising and best talents over the past season.
Some of the winners included Charlie Durandt, who won the prize for Coach of the Season, and Warren Abrahams Jr, who was awarded the prize for Sportsman of the Year.
The Mac Juniors also acknowledged the contributions of sponsors Penny Slack, Steven Carelse and Reginald Petersen, who donated vouchers to the winners and assisted with travelling expenses during the season.
To close the year the Mac Juniors will host a karaoke evening this Saturday (3 December) and have appealed to parents and the community to show their support. Proceeds from the evening will go towards the costs off a trip to Kleinmond on Friday 16 December. Entry costs R50 per person.
