Learners of Beaumont Primary School shared early Christmas spirit when they distributed gifts to the elderly of the Helderberg Society for the Aged (HSFA) before school closed for the summer holidays in December. The school has always had a special relationship with the HSFA, with learners frequenting the organisation’s halls, whether to sing in concerts or bring smiles to residents’ faces through the distribution of flowers. Late last year, the Beaumont learners delivered Christmas gift bags filled with toiletries and treats to the 620 residents, along with beautifully designed cards. They were delivered particularly to those residents who had no family or financial support, and recipients were very grateful for the generosity.
